Our client is looking for a Family Law Paralegal or Legal Assistant to join their Vancouver team. This is a great opportunity for someone with 1-2+ years of family law or litigation experience who is looking for a long-term role with a collaborative team, strong work-life balance, and opportunities to grow professionally. The position offers a hybrid schedule, working approximately 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely.

Compensation

  • $50,000-$85,000 annually, based on experience

Responsibilities

  • Support two experienced family law lawyers with day-to-day file management
  • Assist with preparation of legal documents, court forms, and correspondence
  • Help manage family law litigation files and related deadlines
  • Assist with matters before the BC Supreme Court and Provincial Court
  • Maintain organized and accurate client files
  • Communicate with clients, lawyers, and other members of the legal team
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment

Qualifications

  • 1-2+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal
  • Family law experience preferred; litigation experience will also be considered
  • Familiarity with BC Supreme Court and Provincial Court Rules and procedures
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Clear and professional communication skills
  • Team-oriented, personable, and willing to contribute to the broader team
