A career as a Paralegal within the Legal Affairs Governance team (Corporate Secretary’s Office) at National Bank means acting as a key contributor in supporting the governance activities of the Bank’s Board of Directors. This role allows you to make a tangible impact through your experience in operational coordination, regulatory follow-up, and document management.
Your role
- Coordinate the preparation of Board of Directors and committee meetings, in close collaboration with members of management, attend these meetings and contribute to the drafting of minutes
- Draft, review, and follow up on legal, corporate and regulatory documents
- Contribute to the implementation and execution of best practices in corporate governance
- Perform filings with regulatory authorities and ensure compliance
- Analyze regulatory requirements applicable to the Board of Directors and ensure compliance
- Maintain and update corporate databases and records
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes by identifying opportunities to optimize work and enhance operational efficiency within the team
- Support administrative processes, including invoicing and file tracking

Prérequis:
- Three-year college diploma (DEC) or equivalent academic background in a related field, and at least three years of relevant experience in corporate governance
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
- Experience in managing corporate or legal documents
- Strong communication skills, strong collaboration spirit, and interpersonal abilities
- Good understanding of regulatory requirements and administrative processes
- Excellent organizational skills, rigor, and attention to detail
