Our client is a well-established electrical contractor based in the Lower Mainland, delivering projects across commercial, industrial, and residential sectors. With a strong reputation built on quality workmanship, safety, and long-standing client relationships, the business continues to grow through repeat work and referrals. Their team prides itself on professionalism, reliability, and delivering high standards across every project.

About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Foreman to take ownership of field operations and act as the key link between project management and site teams. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who combines strong technical electrical knowledge with the ability to coordinate crews, manage schedules, and drive projects forward. You’ll be responsible for planning installations, overseeing daily site activity, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time.

Key Responsibilities
Communication & Coordination
Act as the primary point of contact between Project Managers and field crews. Relay scope changes, schedule updates, and priorities to electricians, while providing clear progress updates, identifying roadblocks, and communicating resource requirements back to the office.

Project Planning & Execution
Review awarded projects, drawings, and specifications to plan conduit runs, equipment placement, and material staging. Proactively identify design conflicts and RFIs, and forecast labour requirements to maintain productivity throughout the project lifecycle.

Site & Project Ownership
Take full ownership of day-to-day site operations, ensuring milestones are met and installations meet quality standards. Coordinate labour, materials, and workflows to keep projects aligned with schedules.

Occupied & Institutional Environments
Work effectively within active facilities, managing constraints such as quiet hours, dust control, and ICRA compliance. Ensure minimal disruption to ongoing operations while maintaining steady project progress.

Field Leadership
Lead and mentor electricians and apprentices across multiple sites. Remain hands-on when needed-supporting installations, troubleshooting, and demonstrating best practices across power distribution, lighting, controls, and emergency systems. Promote a strong safety culture and support team development.

Service & Troubleshooting
Step into service work between projects, diagnosing and resolving issues efficiently to ensure systems are fully operational.

Qualifications

  • Red Seal Ticket
  • Minimum 5+ years in a supervisory or leadership role within the electrical trade
  • Strong commercial experience, including work in occupied environments (e.g. healthcare, schools, commercial towers, retail, manufacturing)
  • Hands-on experience with power distribution, lighting, low voltage systems, and backup/emergency power
  • Solid understanding of drawings, specifications, and electrical codes (fire alarm experience is an asset)
  • Comfortable using project management tools and Microsoft Office for scheduling, tracking, and documentation
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams and navigate challenges on site

Compensation & Benefits

  • $45 - $60 an hour depending on experience
  • Extended health, dental, and vision coverage
  • RRSP matching program
  • Paid vacation and statutory holidays
  • Consistent, year-round work
  • Company vehicle, phone, and gas card (for the right candidate)
  • Supportive and collaborative team environment
  • Clear opportunities for growth and advancement
