Description
We are recruiting a permanent, full-time Finance and Payroll Associate. This person serves as backup and assistant to the Manager of Finance and Payroll and as the site lead responsible for payroll and benefits administration for staff. We are members of CUPE, HSAS, SUN and OOS agreements, and are enrolled in programs such as SHEPP and 3SHealth benefits.
- As a member of our out-of-scope leadership team, you will report to the Manager of Finance and Payroll.
- You will work with members of the management team and build and sustain strong relationships with affiliate and regional supports of the Saskatchewan Health Authority. As the Associate, you are the leader who ensures An efficient and effective timekeeping, payroll and benefits system
- That adapts to internally and externally driven system changes (e.g., creation of new positions, enrolment of new employees, updates to our web-based scheduling system, and the provincial adoption of AIMS)
- A customer-service orientation that provides timely and accurate answers to employee inquiries and that supports them to understand their pay and benefit information and processes.
Your tasks include:
- Accurate and timely data entry and weekly upload to the provincial pay and benefit system, accurate payment and benefit calculation, provisional and retroactive payments and follow up, ROEs, CBA compliance, adjustments and updates, appropriate deductions and remittances, year end pay processes, invoicing and payment
- Administering and coordinating WCB and DIP claims
- Professional, respectful and frequent contact with reps from the SHA, AIMS/MyC, 3SH, SHEPP, WCB, SGI, and other related partners
- Processing accounts payable and receivable
The Individual
Interested individuals should have:
A proven respect for diversity
A Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation
A minimum of 24 months experience delivering payroll and benefits, preferably within the Saskatchewan health care system. Confidence with AIMS a definite asset.
Intermediate accounting skills
A high attention to detail
Above-average computer fluency (advanced excel, etc.) and an ease with multiple technologies
Exceptional organization and time management skills
Strong communication skills (verbal and written, with multiple audiences)
Excellent people skills
