Job Description: Reporting to the Manager Financial Planning Capital, the Capital Associate will demonstrate knowledge and experience with capital financial accounting entry, including accounting treatment and depreciation schedules, while having a solid understanding of SHA policies and procedures. The Associate will be involved with the Capital Working Group and the Ministry discussing and recommending various options of a capital nature that may impact service delivery and staffing requirements. The Associate will assist and support various service lines with Capital planning, budgeting and forecasting requirements and prepare monthly capital financial transactions including fixed assets entries.. The incumbent will provide support to the Specialist, Capital Infrastructure and Specialist, Capital Equipment with regards to capital accounting transactions and journal entries and provide indirect support to the Infrastructure Management Team with respect to capital infrastructure/projects accounting transactions.

Experience
- One (1) year experience in a discipline related role
Education
- Bachelor of Finance (BF)
- Business Administration/Commerce majoring in Accounting
- Finance diploma
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Other Education and Training
- Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Licensed, and in good standing, with regulatory body, if applicable
