Benefits

Desgagnés Logistik is a key player at the Port of Valleyfield, specializing in stevedoring, cargo handling, and port terminal operations, supporting efficient and safe logistics activities.

As an Accounts Payable and Receivable professional, you play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our activities.

Your mission: keep the accounts in order, ensure the quality of financial data, and support teams in an environment where every detail matters. We are looking for someone reliable, well organized, and on top of things.

In practical terms, your job will be to process invoices, verify that everything matches purchase orders, receiving documents, and payments, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks. You will be the person who keeps the accounts in order so the company can continue running smoothly.

You will communicate with suppliers, answer their questions, follow up when information is missing, and prepare payments. We need someone who quickly notices discrepancies, likes things done properly, and is comfortable handling multiple files at the same time.

If you enjoy a hands-on role where you clearly see what you have accomplished at the end of the day, you will feel right at home here. At Desgagnés Logistik, we are a close-knit team, we support one another, and everyone contributes to important operations — no frills, just pride in what we do.

More specifically, the position’s main responsibilities are to:

  • Process and verify supplier invoices;
  • Reconcile purchase orders, receiving documents, and payments;
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable and prepare payments;
  • Respond to supplier inquiries and ensure thorough follow-up;
  • Participate in updating accounting records and preparing reports.

Working conditions

  • Permanent, daytime position;
  • Schedule of 40 hours per week from May to October and 35 hours per week from November to April, for an average of 37.5 hours per week, spread over five (5) days from Monday to Friday;
  • Remote work policy;
  • Comprehensive group insurance program (including dental insurance);
  • Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) with employer contributions;
  • Monthly wellness allowance;
  • Employee Assistance Program and telemedicine services;
  • Annual vacation;
  • Personal days, sick leave, and statutory holidays.
