Purpose of the position

Reporting to the Planning Team Leader, the Operations Support Clerk is responsible for performing specialized administrative tasks and providing administrative and clerical support to the planning and purchasing departments.

Responsibilities

  • Follow-up and follow-up with suppliers (phone, email) and purchase assistance for OPs;
  • Print and release the manufacturing routing;
  • Convert newly entered jobs into active jobs and order them;
  • Identify priority jobs in the system;
  • Identify, plan and report on production stoppages or blockages with a view to resolving them or reducing their scope;
  • Support the various departments (purchasing, planning, methods);
  • Establish, locate and retrieve records upon request;
  • Sort and file documents;
  • Verify and save forms and documents;
  • Perform data entry and any other miscellaneous office work;
  • Adhere to the quality standard;
  • Any other related tasks.
Job requirements
Education requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Technical skills
  • Proficiency in office automation software (Word, Excel etc.);
  • Fluency in French and English (intermediate);
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position (an asset);
  • Knowledge of an ERP system (an asset).
