Purpose of the Position

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the incumbent will support the painter in the department’s daily activities and prepare parts for painting.

Responsibilities
  • Clean parts prior to masking and sanding
  • Sand and mask parts before painting
  • Strip parts when required
  • Perform touch-ups on parts
  • Prepare the paint booth according to usage frequency (filter changes)
  • Polish or soak the tools required for painting (hooks and racks)
  • Clean sandblasting and painting equipment
  • Assist the painter as needed
  • Follow safety standards
  • Perform all other related duties
Job Requirements Required Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Training in industrial painting or surface treatment (an asset)
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of AS9100 standards (an asset)
  • Knowledge of practices in the aviation industry (an asset)
Personal Skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Manual dexterity
  • Teamwork
  • Time and priority management
