Purpose of the Position
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the incumbent will support the painter in the department’s daily activities and prepare parts for painting.
Responsibilities
- Clean parts prior to masking and sanding
- Sand and mask parts before painting
- Strip parts when required
- Perform touch-ups on parts
- Prepare the paint booth according to usage frequency (filter changes)
- Polish or soak the tools required for painting (hooks and racks)
- Clean sandblasting and painting equipment
- Assist the painter as needed
- Follow safety standards
- Perform all other related duties
Job Requirements Required Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Training in industrial painting or surface treatment (an asset)
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of AS9100 standards (an asset)
- Knowledge of practices in the aviation industry (an asset)
Personal Skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Manual dexterity
- Teamwork
- Time and priority management
