Buyer YOUR MISSION OF EXCELLENCE
As a Buyer, you will be responsible for purchasing and order tracking of parts, equipment, and supplies to ensure the smooth operation of the company.
WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH
-
Validate purchase requisitions generated by the MRP system
-
Create purchase orders in the system
-
Complete requisitions for supplies and materials requested by internal clients
-
Follow up on orders, release goods, and perform supplier follow‑ups
-
Process inventory transfer requests between warehouses according to customer orders
-
Participate in physical inventory counts
-
Analyze inventory variances and identify their root causes
-
Enter count variances into the ERP system and collaborate with the financial controller to address and explain significant discrepancies
-
Validate or obtain pricing from suppliers for goods or services
-
Keep supplier information up to date
THE IDEAL PROFILE
-
College diploma in procurement or administration, combined with 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience
-
Any other combination of education and experience directly related to the responsibilities of the position will be considered
-
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
-
Proficiency with SAP or another ERP system (an asset)
-
Proficiency in French

Bilingualism to ensure effective communication with English‑only suppliers

Knowledge of the steel industry (an asset)
