We're currently looking for a Journeyperson Electrician to join our building services team on the road. Our team is based in the Outaouais region and works mainly on a daytime schedule, on a full-time basis.

What your role in our team will be like :

  • Locate, diagnose, isolate and troubleshoot faults in electrical and electronic systems;
  • Remove and replace defective components;
  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance programs and maintain maintenance logs;
  • Check, install, connect and maintain cables, conduits, controls, circuits, auxiliary equipment and accessories;
  • Keep building electrical plans and schematics up to date;
  • Verify compliance of electrical installations made by subcontractors;
  • Supervise the work of subcontractors for the maintenance of the building's 25 KV, electronic groups and emergency circuits;
  • Maintain lighting systems for institutional, commercial and industrial buildings.

What we are looking for in our new colleague:

  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in construction and building electricity;
  • Journeyman (Electrician) Competency Certificate (JCC) from the Commission de la Construction du Québec (Mandatory);
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems in industrial or institutional buildings (Asset);
  • Available for on-call duty 24/7 (once every 2 weeks);
  • Valid driver's license;
  • No criminal record related to the job.

If, in addition, you have :

  • A good knowledge of the maintenance of high-capacity UPS systems;
  • Excellent general knowledge of building-related electrical controls;
  • And proficiency in reading electrical plans and generator systems.
