I am looking for an accounting technician for a manufacturing SME in Dorval.
Key Responsibilities
Perform the full monthly accounting cycle
Manage accounts payable: invoice verification, entry, and payments
Monitor and update budgets on a regular basis
Administer payroll processing
Carry out various financial and administrative tasks
Coordinate certain accounting and operational activities
Record customer payments and follow up on receivables
Prepare bank reconciliations and related journal entries for multiple entities
Actively participate in month-end closing
Prepare sales tax returns (GST/QST)
Maintain document management and filing systems (electronic and paper)
Collaborate with internal and external auditors
Assist in production cost calculations
Support inventory management activities
Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in accounting or administration
Proficiency with common office software and accounting/payroll systems
Strong attention to detail, organization, and versatility
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team
Excellent command of French and good working knowledge of English, both spoken and written
