Join our Law and Corporate Secretary team and contribute to a group of legal professionals by conducting research, supporting in-house counsel, preparing memos and drafting legal agreements. Under the mentorship of lawyers on our team, you’ll gain valuable insight into practicing law in-house at a Crown corporation and into the Canadian agriculture and food industry.
What you'll do
- Conduct legal research on topics relevant to FCC’s operations, including lending, compliance, governance, procurement, intellectual property and litigation
- Prepare legal memos and reports summarizing research findings
- Support in-house counsel with advising on lending and corporate matters, and drafting, reviewing and revising legal agreements
- Contribute to the development and interpretation of lending policies, forms and procedures
- Assist with corporate initiatives such as new loan products and policy updates
- Participate in meetings, calls and webinars alongside FCC’s legal team

What you'll need
- Enrolment in a program for a degree in law
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset
