As an OHS Advisor, you’ll support national health and safety programs, ensure compliance with federal legislation and promote a culture of safety across all operations at FCC.
What you’ll do:
- Ensure compliance with the Canada Labour Code Part II and the Accessible Canada Act across all operations
- Coordinate and conduct workplace inspections, hazard assessments and safety audits
- Deliver onboarding and refresher training using CCOHS e-learning and internal tools
- Support incident investigations and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks
- Liaise with internal teams and external partners to promote a culture of safety
- Track and report on OHS metrics, training completion and inspection outcomes
- Monitor PPE and first-aid kit distribution and maintenance in accordance with OH&S regulations
What we’re looking for:
- Strong communicator who can clearly convey safety procedures and compliance expectations to diverse audiences
- Analytical thinker capable of identifying trends in incident data and recommending proactive solutions
- Collaborator and influencer who works effectively with cross-functional teams and safety committees to drive initiatives
What you’ll need:
- Post-secondary education in occupational health and safety, environmental health, or a related field and at least three years of experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Advanced proficiency in both official languages (English and French) needed
