Job Description: Operating in a complex and dynamic healthcare environment, the Scientist will have specific accountabilities which are aligned to that of the portfolio to support the achievement of the portfolio’s functions, responsibilities and accountabilities. This position will provide critical support and coordination for the Biosafety Program of the SHA Department of Laboratory Medicine. As the Biological Safety Officer, this position will provide regulatory affairs support for clinical laboratories undergoing compliance inspections and provide recommendations on remediation of biosafety deficiencies. As a content expert in biosafety they will perform risk assessments and support the safe operation of SHA's clinical laboratories, including the CL3 laboratory

Experience
- Minimum 2yrs experience in Microbiology Lab setting
- and/or programs and assessments with an at-risk population
Education
- PhD degree in Microbiology or related life science
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
