Description
We are looking for a full-time Wood Assembly Worker to work for one of our customers, a major producer and distributor of recyclable cardboard packaging and pallets.
*** As an Assembly Worker, here's a rough outline of what your duties would entail***.
- Perform assembly work to make wooden ridges
- Assemble wood items and products using glue, clamps, bolts, screws or other fasteners;
- Take measurements using a tape measure
- Read orders and production diagrams when required.
*** Requirements ***
- Have a good ability to learn
- Be very diligent at work
- Be good at calculations, measurements, and mathematical comprehension in order to understand the products to be manufactured and the raw materials required
- Have positive leadership qualities
- Work at a fast pace in order to set an example and raise the team's overall level
- Have a desire to grow within the company over the long term
- Have good interpersonal skills
- Be able to liaise between the supervisor and day laborers
- Have a vision of quality and health and safety
- Be able to replace the supervisor during vacations or absences
- Be willing and motivated to work overtime
- Be physically fit and dynamic
- Forklift experience would be a plus, although not required
