Our client, an industrial company, is looking for a Customer Service Clerk.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, day shift

Salary: To be discussed

Work location: Saint-Laurent

Duties:

  • Receive, process, and verify the accuracy of customer orders using the organization's internal systems and customer purchase orders
  • Take the necessary steps to respond to customer service requests regarding order changes, including updating order/customer information files and communicating changes to the foreman, president, and QAMR, as applicable
  • Participate in product quality verification/release by reviewing parts to ensure they meet customer specifications before authorizing delivery of products to the customer
  • Ensure and provide quality service to all customers.
  • Receive customer requests and follow up with the president, if necessary, to resolve various customer-related issues.
  • Provide quotes and estimates to customers
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute expertise based on respective roles in setting team objectives. This includes recommending changes to existing operating methods and systems to increase the accuracy, efficiency, and responsiveness of the team as a whole.
  • Prepare reports on products or services by collecting and analyzing customer information.
  • Deal directly with customers by phone, email, or in person.
  • Respond quickly to customer requests.
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints.
  • Provide pricing and delivery information when necessary and appropriate.
  • Process purchase transactions and maintain inventory of materials, equipment, and merchandise.
  • Research and obtain quotes from catalogs and suppliers and prepare purchase orders.
  • Contact suppliers to schedule deliveries and resolve issues with shortages, missed deliveries, and other problems.
  • Prepare and maintain purchase records, reports, and price lists.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
