Field of Activities
Under the authority of the Mohawk Council of Kanesatake and in collaboration with the Kanehsatà:ke Education Center. Under the direct supervision of the Ratihén:te Principal, the Student Life Animator will work in collaboration with the Principals, Teachers, Parents, Students, and other Professionals in developing organization and facilitation activities and for providing guidance to students in the development, delivery, and evaluation of program activities related to the educational plan. He or she may work split shifts and unusual schedules based on programming needs. This Student Life Animator is focused on the integral development of the student and the creation of a welcoming and dynamic learning environment in Rotiwennakehte and Ratihente schools.

Prerequisites
1. Undergraduate degree in an appropriate field. We are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications, however, a combination of education, experience, and balanced traditional knowledge, may also be considered.
2. Previous work experience with students in an educational setting would be a definite asset.
3. Valid driver’s license and access to vehicle.
4. Excellent interpersonal communication skills and competence in conflict resolution
5. Excellent team building and organization skills.
6. Ability to perform multiple tasks, set priorities, and solve problems.
7. Ability to work split shifts and unusual schedules based on programming needs.

Salary: According to the Quebec Treasury Board Salary Scales.
Start Date: August 2024

Probation Period:
The successful candidate will be subjected to a six (6) month probation period. Following the probation period, a performance evaluation will be conducted and upon successful completion, a confirmation of employment will be provided.
