Under the direct supervision of the Ratihente High School Principal the resource teacher’s job is to provide direct instructional support services to students who present learning difficulties.

Prerequisites:
- Bachelor of Education Degree with specialization in Special Education or Bachelor’s degree with teaching license (brevet) and equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of best practices in inclusive education.
- Possess the ability to create a safe and nurturing learning environment that supports the unique developmental needs of children.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Kanien’keha:ka people, language, culture and history is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and competence in conflict resolution.
- Excellent team building and organization skills.
