Supply and Workshop Organization Manager
Steel Space Concepts – Longueuil, QC
Permanent Position – Full Time
Steel Space Concepts designs and manufactures mobile units, pop-ups, and creative installations used across North America. We deliver unique, varied, and non-repetitive projects, and we are looking for an organized, resourceful, and proactive individual to support our production team.
Position Overview
You will play a key role in material flow management and the physical organization of the workshop. In addition to procurement, you will actively contribute to the layout, optimization, and maintenance of workspaces to support team efficiency.
You will work closely with the following departments:

Welding
-
Assembly
-
Painting
-
Carpentry and Fabrication
Since all operations take place in a single facility, speed, coordination, and on-the-ground adaptability are essential.
Key Responsibilities

Order and manage the receipt of materials and verify order accuracy

Establish and maintain inventory (wood, metal, hardware, paint products, etc.)

Prepare and distribute materials to production teams

Support department leads with their daily material needs
-
Maintain order, safety, and structure in storage areas
-
Participate in the organization and optimization of workspaces (relocating workstations, reorganizing zones, assembling furniture and equipment, and making project-specific adjustments)

Optimize material flow and propose process improvements

Required Skills and Qualifications

Knowledge of materials (steel, aluminum, wood, plastics, hardware, paint, etc.)

Experience in procurement, warehousing, or a manufacturing environment

Strong manual skills and comfort with hands-on, physical tasks related to workspace and inventory setup
-
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
-
Resourcefulness, autonomy, and practical problem-solving skills
-
Positive attitude, team spirit, and attention to quality workmanship
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook)
-
Valid Class 5 driver’s license
-
Excellent communication skills with suppliers
-
Ability to tow a 12’ to 20’ trailer (an asset)
