The Louise-Elisabeth private seniors' residence, located in Lévis, is seeking two individuals to fill part-time evening personal support worker positions. ***Candidates must hold a DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) in Personal Assistance in Institutions and at Home, or a RAC (Recognition of Acquired Competencies) certificate, or have accumulated 5,000 hours of experience in the last 5 years as a Personal Support Worker + current 16-hour CPR certification + completed PDSP (Personalized Support Plan).***
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Schedule A: One 7/14 evening position, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with one weekend out of two.
Schedule B: One 2/14 evening position, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, one weekend out of two.
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Comply with standards and regulations in accordance with the certification of private seniors' residences and employer policies
- Provide a range of health and hygiene care while respecting the integrity and dignity of residents, in collaboration with the team
- Respect and promote proactive care among residents
- Assist and/or accompany residents in getting around
- Contribute to the adjustment of a residents' action plan based on their observations
- Respond to all emergency situations
- While interacting with them, report any noticeable changes in a residents mental or physical health to the on-call nurse.
- Up-to-date CPR/AED general first aid training
- PDSP Training
- AP/RPA or DEP training in assistance to people in establishments and at home
