POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Located in the heart of the new Solar district in Brossard, Jazz Brossard is delighted to welcome a wonderful clientele, both independent and those experiencing a loss of autonomy. Permanent full-time position, 40 hours per week on a 10/15 schedule, evenings from 12 pm to 8 pm and one weekend out of two.


ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Administer medication in accordance with safety principles and the codes of ethics
  • Carry out clinical assessments of residents and update treatment plans according to their specific needs
  • Contribute to the adjustment of a residents' action plan based on their observations
  • Create and maintain metuculous notes in the residents Dossier in accordance with the requirements of the Ordre des Infirmiers et Infirmières auxiliaires du Québec (OIIAQ)
  • Ensure good communication as well as medical follow-ups with the vested parties
  • Help maintain the relationship of trust with residents' family and friends as well as with various stakeholders (CLSC, CSSS, etc.)
  • Participate in health assessments of new residents or whenever it is required
  • Promote and advocate for proactive care among residents
  • Provide a range of nursing care and treatments in order to maintain and restore residents health and to help prevent illness
  • Respond to all emergency situations
  • Upon request by the residents doctor or pharmacist, update the residents medical dossiers and prescriptions
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A proffesional studies dimploma (DEP) in health care assistance, nursing
  • PDSB training
  • Up to date CPR / AED training certificates
  • Member of the OIIAQ
  • Knowledge of senior living residences is a major asset.
