POSITION DESCRIPTION:
We are currently seeking a General Manager for a new multi-residential building on Marcel-Laurin Street in Montreal. The successful candidate will play a key role within a dynamic company, offering an environment conducive to innovation and professional growth.
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide a high level of customer service
- Analyze client needs
- Analyze the clients needs in relation to the available properties
- Complete all required rental documentation, including credit inquiry forms
- Create preliminary repair and maintenance quotes
- Distribute monthly financial results to the owners
- Follow up on dossiers, monitor schedules, issue reminders and obtain requested information in a timely manner in keeping with established time limits
- Interact with your colleagues in response to client requests
- Make appointments
- Manage visits and negotiate rental contracts
- Organize and coordinate the CMS's activities
- Perform other related duties
- Purchase the necessary equipment for activities, within an established budget
- Recommend appropriate domiciles to clients based on their needs
- Rent out vacant apartments in the building
- Research, collect and compile information for reports and transmit to all vested parties
- Stay on top of the trends in the rental market for the region
- Take part in all market development activities and stay abreast of labor market opportunities
- Coordinate the work of the housekeeping and maintenance teams
- Ensure effective communication to your teams and to the residence in general
- Ensure information is disseminated throughout the complex
- In collaboration with the manager, plan your service budget and manage it in the most optimal way possible
- Responsible for marketing the property to maintain full occupency
- Bilingualism both oral and written
- An understanding of buisness plans and practices and financial balance sheets
- A working knowledge of the software systems, Hopem and Quickbooks (an asset)
- A working knowledge of real estate (an asset)
- A working knowledge of real estate management
- Minimum experience in a position of sales or rental in real estate
- A working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook software
- Experience in personnel management
- A mastery of Quebec laws governing rental properties
