POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Located in the heart of downtown St-Bruno, the Jazz St-Bruno residence is delighted to welcome a select group of independent and dependent residents. It offers a warm and friendly atmosphere where we feel at home.
Reporting to the Head Chef, the incumbent assists the chef and cooks with their tasks. They help prepare cold dishes and desserts, cut and peel vegetables and fruit, plate dishes, prepare meal carts, and participate in kitchen and equipment maintenance alongside the rest of the team.
Permanent part-time position, 24 hours a week, days and evenings, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., mainly on Saturdays and Sundays, and some weekday evenings.
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assemble plates of food
- Clean kitchen equipment
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure good teamwork
- Ensure the kitchen and equipment are kept clean according to established hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Peel and cut vegetables for meals
- Perform other related duties
- Supervise the preparation of cold meals and desserts
