The donor funded McCain Centre is focused on enhancing and improving the design, delivery and effectiveness of mental health and substance use care systems, services and policies for youth aged 6-25 through clinical and health services research. The McCain Centre combines established and innovative research techniques and includes a focus on ensuring youth voices are centred in their initiatives. The McCain Centre at CAMH is seeking a full-time, contract (1-year), Program Officer. Reporting to the Research Operations Manager, the Program Officer will support in coordinating and providing support for the research team, including Scientists, Research Coordinators, Research Analysts and trainees. The role will also involve supporting the oversight of key initiatives pertaining to research operations, including day-to-day oversight of small projects, developing and implementing processes, training research staff and scientists on new systems, monitoring and providing an in-depth review of documentation and assisting with large scaled projects.

This position is located at our Queen Street Site at 80 Workman Way.
The successful candidate must have an Honors Bachelor’s Degree in a related field e.g., Health Administration, Public Health, Psychology, or Neuroscience, with two (2) years of related professional experience in mental health and addictions research. One (1) year of operations experience is preferred. In addition, the successful candidate will possess the following skills:
