The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a full-time, contract (12 months) IT Specialist - Infrastructure to work in the Information Management Group (IMG). Reporting to the Senior Manager, IT Operations and Service Delivery, the IT Specialist’s primary accountability includes support for the 9-8-8 Suicide Crisis Helpline systems and team.
The IT Specialist’s primary accountability will include the support and enhancement of CAMH’s Azure/M365 tenant as well as internal CAMH infrastructure that supports the cloud technologies, which will include but are not limited to Windows Servers and Data Centre Lifecycle Management, Microsoft 365 (full stack) Administration and Troubleshooting, Citrix Technologies (Netscaler/XenApp), Cloud Technologies (Azure/AWS), and Virtualization Technologies (ESXi/XenServer/Hyper-V). Act as the liaison between 9-8-8 Suicide Crisis Helpline and CAMH IT to ensure that business requirements are fulfilled. The IT Specialist will work with our outsourcing vendor to ensure all aspects of the CAMH Azure/M365 infrastructure is running at optimal performance. You will analyze and document performance characteristics for CAMH infrastructure and applications to provide recommendations and implement solutions. Other IT related duties may be assigned as required. The candidate should be able to lift or carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds or more. The candidate will support a workplace that embraces diversity and complies with all applicable and regulatory requirements. This position is located at the Queen Street site.
The successful candidate will possess a university degree, preferably in a computer-related field combined with 4 years of senior level hands-on experience installing, managing and supporting a medium to large Enterprise Infrastructure in a heterogeneous environment (Windows, Mac, iOS, android, etc). Relevant work experience and having working knowledge of the following technologies and skills;

Experience maintaining a thorough understanding of existing and emerging Microsoft 365 core technologies and experience of producing high-quality documentation and user guides for the wider business would be desirable. One or multiple certifications in any of the following disciplines will be considered an asset, Microsoft Azure / Office 365 and Citrix Netscaler. The Candidate will have excellent written and verbal communications skills and can document technical and business information/processes to all levels of the organization. The candidate can work well in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment with clients and staff from diverse backgrounds. Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in another language are considered an asset.
