Description
In a general way, the professor's teaching load shall include: preparation of course outline; preparation of classes, labs and fieldwork; teaching classes; adaptation; support and supervision of students; preparation, invigilation and correction of examinations; revision of corrections at the students’ request; participation in pedagogical days organized by the College; participation in departmental meetings and required activities.
DUTIES:
The college is seeking a part-time replacement professor to teach a course within our Special Education Techniques (SET) program in the Winter 2026 semester.
351-F71-HR Internship
(15 hours of availability per week)
Students in internship will spend 450 hours over 15 weeks working in a Special Education Techniques setting. During this internship, students are expected to engage in all job functions of a special care counsellor including: information gathering, analysis, documentation, planning clinical activities, creating intervention plans, and evaluating their interventions.
In addition to fieldwork, students will attend seminars at school for 30 hours a semester.
Start Date: January 12th, 2026
End date: replacement until return of incumbent.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree with a specialization in Special Care Counselling or a related discipline (Social Work, Psychology, etc.).
- A minimum of three (3) years of practical and related experience.
- Experience in post-secondary/adult learning would be considered an asset.
- Fluency in French and English, both oral and written is required.
- Knowledge of Special Care Counselling within Québec Health and Social Services is an asset.

- Employ exemplary communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate knowledge of subject matter through practical experiences.
