Description
We are looking for a Value Analyst, reporting to the Value Analyst Team Lead, to assist us in evaluating the fair price of our parts. In this role, you will have the opportunity to establish yourself as an authority in your field and influence all product development teams from the start of the design phase. You will be able to leverage your skills to guide buyers in better understanding and working with cost structure concepts.
YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Participate in the calculation of target costs from the earliest development phases, ensuring that clear cost objectives are defined.
Collaborate with design and engineering teams to foster a cost-oriented design approach ("design-to-cost").
Support the analysis of supplier quotes and cost breakdowns to assist the purchasing team in factual negotiations and supplier selection.
Create and maintain cost databases and reference models to ensure consistent and accurate cost estimates for projects.
Carry out cost benchmarks for products and manufacturing processes to ensure component costs align with industry standards.
YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
A technical diploma in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
More than 5 years of experience in plastics processing, cost engineering, product cost analysis, or technical purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required for this position, as you will be working with BRP and supplier sites worldwide.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and technologies for plastic components (e.g. roto-moulding, injection moulding, structural foam, blow moulding, composites, assembly) and the factors influencing their costs.
Experience in product development cycles within the automotive industry or a similar sector, with an interest in price negotiation.
