Are you ready to be part of a dynamic team in charge of BRP’s strategy for its finished goods distribution network? Located at BRP's center of expertise, the team's main mission is to ensure that the transportation of finished goods is carried out with the ultimate service level while optimizing logistics-related costs.
The Carrier management coordinator will be responsible of executing shipments from shipping yards / distribution centers to North American dealers. His-her role involves selling loads to the most suitable carriers in terms of rates, capacity and service level, as long as following those loads from Pick-up to Delivery to ensure proper performance.
YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Manage loads:
- Tender the loads to the most adequate carriers (I.e. rate, capacity, service level).
- Adapt your tendering strategy based on market trends, time of the year, pressure to meet our financial targets, more difficult areas to sell...
- Track daily each load to ensure Pick-up / Deliveries appointments are taken in a timely manner and partners meet On-Time Pick-Up and Delivery standards.
- Monitor your spend and compare vs financial targets.
Carriers Relationship and Performance Management:
- Maintain ongoing communication with carriers and adapt communication styles (I.e. system, mail, phone) depending on the urgency of the situation.
- Build strong, long-term relationships to ensure consistent capacity and performance.
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators and review them with our partners on a regular basis.
- Work closely with Sourcing team to request extra capacity if needed or escalate situations / lack of performance.
Distribution center Relationship and slots management:
- Monitor daily that the Distribution centers / shipyards have the right amount of slots OUT opened to accommodate the amount of shipments.
- Support the coordination for the requirements of slots IN vs OUT and the total amount of slots available.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work and constantly communicate with teams such as transportation planners, cross-border partner, sourcing team, and distribution center teams to understand and balance capacity needs.
- Communicate urgent or high-priority needs and find solutions quickly.
- Work closely with Customer Service to address any shipping issues (I.e. refusal, damages …).
Transportation Management System:
- Learn the functioning of the system and the standard operating procedures.
- Identify system glitches / incorrect behavior and work with the support team to fix them.
- Propose workarounds, identify opportunities of improvement, follow the enhancement request and participate to user acceptance tests.
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
- Min 5 years’ Experience in logistics, transportation or supply chain.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, TMS platforms, and logistics software (e.g., SAP S/4 TM).
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Spoken and written bilingualism (English and French), advanced level (4/5).

This position is based in Sherbrooke, Quebec.
