We are seeking a Senior Google Workspace Administrator to join our team as we bring Google Workspace into a more structured, standardized and operating model.
This role is a key extension of the Google Workspace platform leadership function and will act as a technical expert and trusted partner to the Google Workspace Collaboration & Tools Team Lead. The candidate will be hands-on in daily administration while contributing to the definition and implementation of operational standards, governance practices, and support processes. Especially in the early phases, it requires someone comfortable performing core administrative tasks while helping shape how the platform is operated and governed over time.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Act as the senior Google Workspace subject-matter expert and trusted advisor to the Team Lead for operational and platform/services-related decisions.

  • Lead the administration, configuration, and day-to-day operation of Google Workspace services, including Gmail, Google Drive and Shared Drives, Google Groups, Calendar, Meet, and Admin Console.

  • Perform hands-on access controls, delegated administration, and service configuration.

  • Use GAM (Google Apps Manager) and Admin Console tools to manage Google Workspace efficiently, including administrative operations.

  • Provide Tier 2-3 escalation support for more complex Google Workspace issues, working in collaboration with the Tier 1 support team.

  • Work closely with internal partners (Cybersecurity, Data Governance, Service Desk) to implement and operationalize governance decisions around Drive usage, Shared Drives, and permissions.

  • Support the structuring and control of Google AppScript and Google AppSheet usage by contributing to inventories, technical guardrails, and basic lifecycle processes aligned with governance decisions.

  • Collaborate with our Google Workspace partner, ensuring knowledge transfer and a progressive internal takeover of operations.

  • Create and maintain runbooks, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base documentation to support a scalable and sustainable support model.

  • Monitor platform health, operational risks, and upcoming Google Workspace changes to ensure stability and alignment with best practices.

  • Stay informed on the Google Workspace roadmap and propose practical, operational improvements over time.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in IT, including 8+ years of hands-on Google Workspace administration in a medium-to-large environment.

  • Strong experience administering Google Workspace services, including:

    • Gmail (user configuration, troubleshooting, basic routing concepts)

    • Google Drive and Shared Drives (permissions, lifecycle management, monitoring)

    • Google Groups

    • Google Calendar and resource (conference room) management

    • Admin Console configuration

  • Knowledge in DNS records and configurations

  • Experience using GAM (Google Apps Manager) or similar tools to administer Google Workspace.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex collaboration and access issues.

  • Working knowledge of Google AppScript and Google ApSheet from an administrative and governance perspective (not at a developer level).

  • Experience participating in the implementation or improvement of Google Workspace governance models. (Nice to have)

  • Exposure to identity and access management concepts: SSO, group-based access, provisioning workflows.

  • Google Workspace Administrator certification or willingness to pursue certification.

  • Experience producing clear documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.

  • Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Jira.

  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, evolving environment, where processes are being built and refined.

  • Strong communication skills in French and English (spoken and written)
