Your Role
Under the direction of the Head of Telecommunications and Telephony, the Network Systems Administrator is responsible for the management and evolution of network and telecommunications systems at Rona.

Work with enterprise architects
Design detailed solutions based on architectural plans and required functional criteria
Define test plans, perform laboratory testing, and present results
Produce documentation for the solution and its integration with existing systems
Establish deployment strategies (new equipment and new versions)
Support the technical team during the deployment of new solutions and in operational activities
Open and follow up on service calls with vendors
Ensure the evolution of the telecommunications infrastructure by integrating new vendor technologies
Document solutions while complying with the Incident Management process
Contribute to and maintain the knowledge base (documentation and procedures)
Train the support team on the optimal use of telecommunications applications and services
Be able to work outside regular business hours and participate in an on-call rotation if required
Requirements
College or university education, or equivalent, in Information Technology
10 years of experience managing data centers and networks
In-depth knowledge of Cisco Nexus NX-OS in a data center environment, including skills in VxLAN, ACI, MP-BGP, OTV, vPC, and LACP
Strong proficiency with the BGP routing protocol
Solid understanding of SD-WAN concepts
Experience with Cisco and Fortinet firewalls (operations-focused)
Experience with automation scripting (e.g., Python) or deployment tools
Strong problem-solving skills; organized and structured; customer-service oriented with a focus on quality
Ability to work under pressure
Comfortable working as part of a team
Ability to simplify and communicate technical knowledge effectively
Self-motivated learner
Ability to manage change
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
