Financial Analyst, Fixed Asset

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Analyze and review acquisition requests and create projects in the system while ensuring compliance with our internal policies.

  • Responsible for certain monthly, quarterly, and annual SOX controls related to the tasks under your supervision.

  • Analyze lease contracts to determine accounting procedures and record monthly entries.

  • Prepare quarterly variance analyses and provide appropriate explanations.

  • Coordinate the inventory count of our assets in collaboration with various stakeholders and ensure that our objectives are met.

  • Participate in the financial forecasting process and forecast depreciation expenses.

  • Prepare various management reports (support for finance/management/tax teams).

  • Maintain the capitalizable expenditure planning tool and support users.

  • Understand and apply accounting and corporate rules concerning fixed asset management.

  • Participate in various continuous improvement projects.

  • Participate in various ad hoc financial analyses.

 

YOU WILL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A CPA designation (or one in the process of being obtained) is considered an asset.

  • At least 3 years of experience in a related field.

  • Excellent command of Excel.

  • Knowledge of SAP would be an asset.

  • Knowledge of Power BI or interest in developing this skill (an asset).

  • Proficiency in both spoken and written French and English.

  • Good planning and organizational skills.

  • Excellent prioritization skills and the ability to work in a team.

  • The drive to attain continuous improvement in task execution.

  • Attention to detail and thoroughness.
