We are looking for an Enterprise architect (EA) who will report to the manager of Enterprise & Solution Architecture. As an Enterprise Architect - Technology, you will play a pivotal role in shaping, governing, and optimizing BRP's enterprise technology landscape. You will be responsible for defining and maintaining the enterprise technology architecture strategy and standards, ensuring strong alignment with business and operational objectives, and guiding technology investments that enable scalability, resilience, security, and innovation across IT and OT environments.

The EA will Shape the technology landscape by defining and evolving enterprise-wide architectures across cloud platforms, modern/edge infrastructure, identity systems, and global networks, guiding BRP in the suitable, secure, and scalable use of these technologies.The EA acts as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, bridging business and technology, while guiding delivery teams to implement scalable, resilient, secure, and innovative enterprise solutions.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Define and enforce technology standards, reference architectures, and architectural principles across infrastructure, cloud, and networking domains.

  • Establish and participate in architecture governance forums (ARB, Security & Infrastructure Review, Cloud Governance) to ensure solution compliance and architectural consistency.

  • Support technology lifecycle management, technical debt reduction, and rationalization initiatives.

  • Help drive platform engineering practices by designing reusable services, adopting automation-first thinking, and developing self-service capabilities

  • Promote modern engineering and architectural practices such as domain-driven design, event-driven patterns, API-first integration approaches, digital identity ecosystems, and *-as-code approaches

  • Lead modernization initiatives focused on zero-trust security, distributed identity, hybrid & multi-cloud strategies, edge computing, and modern networking (SD-WAN/SASE) architectures

  • Define target and transition architectures covering cloud, data centers, networking, OT/IT, edge computing, and connectivity for plants and global operations.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define multi-year technology roadmaps, investment priorities, and modernization strategies and roadmaps.

  • Support major transformation programs by contributing to business cases, cost models (CAPEX/OPEX), and technology option analysis.

  • Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and advanced capability operating models by balancing innovation with enterprise governance, ensuring reliability, performance, cost optimization, and scalability

  • Lead architecture strategies for hybrid and multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), including landing zones, connectivity, security, and governance.

  • Define enterprise standards for networking and connectivity (LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, industrial Ethernet) supporting offices, plants, and remote sites.

  • Ensure infrastructure architectures support high availability, disaster recovery, performance, and global scalability.

  • Champion a product thinking mindset within enterprise architecture, focusing on measurable outcomes, customer value, and continuous delivery

  • Serve as a trusted advisor for emerging technology (such as AI-driven operations, automation platforms, confidential computing, and distributed ledgers), evaluating where value aligns with the organization's strategic direction

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related study, or equivalent project-related experience.

  • Understanding of core service design principles, including service blueprints, customer and user journey mapping, and value-stream thinking

  • Ability to translate service pain points and experience insights into architectural capabilities and target-state designs

  • Experience collaborating with product, business, and service-design teams to ensure architectural decisions support end-to-end service experiences

  • Industry certifications such as Azure, GCP, AWS, Networking, platform engineering concepts, and Security are strong assets.

  • Strong expertise in cloud computing, networking, virtualization, containers, and orchestration

  • Solid understanding of hybrid IT environments, including on-prem, cloud, edge, and industrial systems.

  • Proven experience designing and governing cloud and network architectures at enterprise scale.

  • Knowledge of Agile methodology

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to lay audiences. Strong experience working with board-level stakeholders.

  • High level of integrity, credibility, and the ability to build trust as a senior architectural leader.

  • Team player with experience leading and collaborating across teams to ensure the successful delivery of solutions

  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills - demonstrating outside-the-box problem-solving skills and ability to develop solution architecture designs

  • Strong knowledge and experience with Architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in IT, including at least 7+ years in enterprise architecture or senior technical leadership roles.

  • Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders outside of Quebec or unilingual English-speaking on a daily basis
