We are looking for a Director, IT Infrastructure Innovation who will report to the Senior Director, IT Operations and Infrastructure. The Director plays a leading role in the modernization, automation, project deliveries, and standardization of our technologies. They will be responsible for establishing the Centre of Excellence for different IT functions that will enable the company's business objectives. They will also be responsible for the transformation of the on-premises and Cloud infrastructure as well as building the automation team, which will enable a better time to market for the delivery of our IT services. The director will ensure the evolution of our technologies to guarantee the stability and sustainability of the infrastructure and be responsible for implementing solutions to maintain the security of the company's infrastructure.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Propose new initiatives and manage the evolution of information technology (IT) and operations technology (OT) of the company.
  • Actively participate and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders in transformation initiatives to ensure the integration and evolution of the infrastructure and delivery of their mandates.
  • Lead the infrastructure and operation level 3 teams which will drive the higher level of knowledge in the department
  • Assume responsibility for the evolution of our Cloud infrastructure and practice with the implementation of a Cloud Business Office.
  • Build and oversee the automation practice responsible for implementing automation tools and delivery pipelines, which will allow automation of several manual tasks that will bring more value to the organization.
  • Elaborate and supervise the automation practice which will include the implantation of those tools and their process. These will enable the automation of multiple manual tasks which will bring value to the organisation
  • Deploy all infrastructure and operation evolution, whether for the internal IT need or within business lead initiatives

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES: 

  • At least 10 years of experience in information technology, including experience in managing an infrastructure and operations team with a proven ability to influence senior level management and key stakeholders.
  • At least 5 years of experience in automation, building an automation team and working in an Agile environment, as well as the ability to promote the automation practice within the rest of the organization.
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in budget management and managing a technology solutions delivery team with external service providers while monitoring their performance.
  • Experience carrying out technological architecture and documenting technical architecture in an industrial environment.
  • Previous experience in guiding, selecting, and directing technological choices at the server, network, computer systems and operations levels in an operational and industrial environment.
  • Experience implementing mobility, remote access, networking and cloud storage solutions, as well as security solutions and good market practices.
  • Experience in IT and OT asset management, such as inventory management and licence management.
  • The ability to financially monitor recommendations, decisions and technological directions.
  • Passionate about delivering excellent customer service with the desire to build relationships with business partners while also recruiting, coaching, training, managing and mentoring employees.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experienced in dealing with all levels of employees in the organization, including senior leadership.
  • Bilingualism (French and English), both orally and in writing, is required because of our globally located workforce and daily interface with leaders in countries that BRP operates in (knowledge of Spanish would be an asset).
