Calibration Engineer

We are looking for an Calibration Engineer reporting to the Calibration Project Manager to help us develop the most innovative vehicles. In this role, you will work on exciting projects that will directly contribute to vehicle product development. You will apply your theoretical knowledge to practical applications related to engine systems.

 

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO: 

  • Be responsible for the 4-cycle engine and/or transmission calibration projects.
  • Perform engine injection system adjustments with the aim of optimizing polluting emissions, fuel savings, performance and driving quality, while taking into account project constraints (cost, integration, etc.).
  • Collaborate with the development of powertrain group control software.
  • Coordinate and take part in optimization trials using a chassis dynamometer, track and engine dynamometer.
  • Work on diagnosing system failure modes and the effects on the vehicle.
  • Determine calibration methods to reduce development time and increase engine function robustness.

 

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES: 

  • Bachelor's degree or engineering diploma in mechanical engineering, physics, science, thermodynamics, mechatronics, automation, or robotics;
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in internal combustion engine development in an industrial environment;
  • Advanced knowledge of engine control strategies (pollutant emission reduction, performance, reliability, comfort, etc.) and/or transmission strategies;
  • Keeping abreast of new technologies in the field of engines and vehicles;
  • Dynamic and motivated by new challenges;
  • Bilingual in French/English, both spoken and written, in order to communicate with colleagues outside Quebec or unilingual English speakers.
