The Senior Policy Analyst is responsible for leading the project management and cross-ministry coordination to support delivery of the 14 recommendations of the Old Growth Strategic Review. Central to this role is collaboration with divisions internal to the OCF and Ministry of Forests, and co-ordination with branches across government. The Senior Policy Analyst proactively oversees project progress across ministries and provides specific support to branches to support delivery of commitments. This includes tracking progress, identifying challenges, recommending solutions to leadership, and taking corrective actions. The Senior Policy Analyst provides project updates in writing and verbally to senior cross-ministry executive. The Senior Policy Analyst also provides support to other branch functions, including policy analysis, communications initiatives and correspondence triage. Job Requirements: A Bachelors Degree and three (3) years of related experience; or a Diploma and four (4) years of related experience; or a Certificate or coursework and five (5) years of related experience. Related experience must include: Experience in the development of policy and legislation or regulation. Experience in planning and coordinating complex projects/assignments. Experience in concisely and persuasively writing a range of documents/content. Preference may be given to applicants with: A post-graduate degree in public administration, business administration, social sciences or equivalent.
