ROLE SUMMARY
Our client is seeking a Shop Supervisor to oversee the production and repair operations of its equipment. Reporting to the General Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for organizing, directing, and optimizing shop floor activities with a focus on continuous improvement.
They will ensure coordination between production teams and other departments, while efficiently managing the warehouse, inventories, orders, as well as the receiving and shipping of goods. They will also play a key role in the implementation and monitoring of the company’s strategic and business plans.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and supervise the manufacturing activities of electric hoists and trolleys involving the assembly of various complex parts and sub-assemblies, ensuring they meet technical standards.
Coordinate and support all operations related to production, equipment maintenance, project execution, inventory management, and shipping.
Prepare the production schedule and maintain inventory of raw materials and finished products.
Work daily on the production floor and contribute manually to production, repair, machining, assembly, receiving, and shipping.
Ensure effective management of the warehouse, inventories, order accuracy, as well as the receiving and shipping of goods.
Respond effectively to unexpected orders and technical issues, and prepare a contingency plan to minimize production downtime risks.
As a production expert, collaborate with the engineering and procurement teams to define technical standards as part of R&D activities and the creation of new products.
Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety policies and standards.
