Our client, a well-established and recognized player in the distribution sector, is seeking a Distribution Supervisor to support day-to-day operations of the central aisle and shipping activities. Reporting to the Distribution Manager, you will play a key role in workforce coordination, operational execution, team performance, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
Assign team members based on shift priorities and operational needs
Monitor and analyze productivity (floor clerks, sorters, dispatchers, pallet handlers, etc.)
Coach, train, and support team members; address performance gaps as needed
Ensure compliance with health and safety (OHS) standards
Act as the liaison between the receiving and distribution departments
Ensure adequate availability of materials (pallets, equipment, etc.)
Support inventory management and enforce FIFO methods
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and KPI tracking
Oversee timekeeping and attendance tracking (Kronos)
Assist with recruitment and the development of team members
Bachelor's degree in management, logistics, operations, or equivalent combination of experience and education
At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within a distribution or warehouse environment
Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
Comfortable using tools like Excel and interpreting performance indicators
Organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven
Ability to manage high-volume, fast-paced operations
