What will you do?
- Develop comprehensive company profiles for potential acquisition targets, including business overview, operations, customer base, competitive positioning, and performance indicators.
- Conduct market and industry research to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Build financial sizing models and high-level valuations to assess acquisition attractiveness.
- Prepare clear, concise, and executive-ready PowerPoint presentations for the CEO, CFO, and VP of Strategy & Business Development.
- Serve as project manager for acquisition due diligence processes, coordinating cross-functional teams (finance, legal, operations, HR, IT, etc.).
- Track progress, identify and resolve issues, and ensure deliverables are completed on time.
- Support post-acquisition integration activities, helping create plans, monitor milestones, and drive alignment between the acquired company and internal teams.
- Work with Regional VPs to support business initiatives specific to their markets, including growth pilots, operational improvements, and competitive assessments.
- Participate in innovation initiatives, supporting new concept exploration, business case development, and pilot implementation.
- Contribute to the development of the company’s strategic plan through research, synthesis of insights, analysis, and cross-functional coordination.
- Produce high-quality PowerPoint decks, briefing notes, and summary reports for senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Gather, synthesize, and present data and insights in a manner that supports executive decision-making.
What do you bring?
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree an asset.
- 4–7 years of experience in business development, corporate development, management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or strategic planning.
- Experience supporting M&A transactions (evaluation, due diligence, or integration) strongly preferred.
- Strong financial analysis and modeling capabilities, with the ability to size markets and evaluate acquisition targets.
- Excellent PowerPoint and presentation-building skills, with experience creating materials for senior executives.
- Comfort working with large datasets, research tools, and financial information.
- Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional projects (e.g., due diligence, integration workstreams).
- Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to think strategically and operationally.
- Strong communicator with the ability to simplify complexity for executives.
- Collaborative, proactive, and able to build trust across diverse teams.
- High degree of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
- Curious, resourceful, and comfortable working in fast-paced environments.
