Regional Logistics Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Corporate Director of Surgical Services, the role of the Regional Logistics Manager is to act as a consultant and respondent on behalf of Surgical Services for replacements and new equipment purchases (medical and other). The manager is responsible for service contract, sourcing and Mohawk/Medbuy contract management. The manager advises, assists and supports surgical department management in their processes for identifying and prioritizing their equipment needs. The ultimate goal is to support the surgical departments in maintaining clinical services to the population and ongoing development based on strategic directions.

In addition to conducting ongoing follow-up with internal partners and requestors, the manager must interact regularly with external stakeholders, i.e., the purchasing, strategic sourcing and clinical engineering departments of SNB. These regional responsibilities include all surgical department facilities in NB zones 1B, 4, 5 and 6.

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • University degree;
  • Certification in project management an asset;
  • Training deemed equivalent may be taken into consideration;
  • Management experience – at least three years;
  • Experience in project management, which could be considered an additional asset;
  • Experience in process management and analysis, which could be considered an additional asset;
  • Effective project leader;
  • Capable of setting priorities;
  • Effective communicator;
  • Listening skills;
  • Thoroughness;
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 software;
  • Ability to innovate and solve problems;
  • Special interest in using, streamlining and developing processes;
  • Critical thinking skills that spark questions to ensure the best choices;
  • Administrative skills to monitor allocated budgets in relation to commitments as well as to propose solutions;
  • Adherence to the organization’s continuing improvement principles;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned work;
  • Good work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, the Network’s management philosophy and organizational values;
