Intermediate Quality Assurance Analyst to perform automation testing for a large system modernization program

Our valued client is seeking an Intermediate Quality Assurance Analyst to perform automation testing for a large system modernization program

An initial 1-year contract (with possible two 1-year extensions). Hybrid work model in Ottawa, Montreal or Toronto (4 days a month on site).

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement manual and automation tests for component, integration or system testing in collaboration with business analysts and developers.
• Suggest new approaches to existing or planned testing.
• Provide detailed configuration and descriptions for passing and failing tests.
• Collaborate with teams and individuals to both clarify and understand the business needs and technical capabilities
• Identify manual tests to perform in each functional area, create high level test cases as well as detailed descriptive step by step test cases to improve the overall test coverage.
• Develop deep knowledge of the system and understand the impact of changes to the system.
• Perform scenario-based testing from the business perspective

Must Have Skills:

• 3+ years experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst
• Experience working in one or more of the following Agile methodologies: Scrum, Disciplined Agile, Kanban, DevOps
• Experience in automation testing, functional testing, stress/performance testing, integration testing, and acceptance testing
• Experience using Azure DevOps or similar ticketing tools
• Experience working with Azure Cloud platform
