Mechanical Project Coordinator

Project Coordinator position assisting in mechanical projects valued at $50K - $5M

ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client is a medium sized Mechanical Contractor that has been in business for 15 years operating throughout Vancouver. This role will allow you to build your portfolio and work on a variety of projects such as hospitals, schools, restaurants and more.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a growing company that works on a variety of different projects. As Project Coordinator you will be in charge of coordinating multiple projects at any given time with dollar value ranges of $50K - $5M.

ABOUT THE POSITION

In this position you will be based in office with the other team members and will report directly to the Project Manager. Your duties in this role will include the following:

• Reviewing and inspecting installations and reporting issues if required.
• Meeting tight deadlines and be able to work alone, as well as part of a team.
• Manage and supervise all site documentation, prevention maintenance and inspections associated with Occupational Health and Safety Program.
• Change order management under direction of Project Manager.
• Maintaining accurate and up to date RFI and RFQ logs as well as the administering of both.
• Coordinating construction tasks and recording all documentation.
• Assisting in scheduling of construction works.
• Assisting Project Manager and Superintendent with project performance, scheduling, material coordination and cost tracking documentation.
• Attending project coordination meetings.
• Maintaining accurate and up to date files for shop drawings, change orders and submittals.
• Preparing as built drawings as required.
• Developing and maintain a working knowledge of the project’s specifications and drawings.
• Coordinating drawing production in line with project requirements and in line with other disciplines.
• Creating drawings and mock-ups as necessary (2D, 3D and spool sheets).

THE REQUIREMENTS

• 1-3 years similar experience with a mechanical contractor
• BA in Mechanical Eng an asset
• Experience working on ICI projects.
• Proficient using construction software such as MS Project, Bluebeam and Procore

COMPENSATION

• $60,000 - $80,000 DOE
• Health & Dental Benefits
• 3-4 weeks vacation
