Mechanical Project Manager opportunity managing projects from $50K - $5M

ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client is a medium sized Mechanical Contractor that has been in business for 15 years operating throughout Vancouver. This role will allow you to build your portfolio and work on a variety of projects such as hospitals, schools, restaurants and more.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a growing company that works on a variety of different projects. As Project Manager you will be in charge of overseeing multiple projects at any given time with dollar value ranges of $50K - $5M.

ABOUT THE POSITION

As a Project Manager, you will work closely with the management team and will be reporting to one of the partners.

Other duties you will be assigned to:

• Reviewing awarded contracts and defining work scopes
• Working with the estimating team in project pre-planning activities
• Managing and approving shop drawing
• Negotiating, approving, and managing subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors
• Managing project construction from start to finish with duties including client and project partner management, material procurement, scheduling, budgeting, project tracking, progress reporting, billing, and project close-out.
• Managing construction documents including RFI’s, Change Orders and Site Instructions
• Successfully delivering projects meeting client expectations and company procedures and policies
• Building and maintaining client relationships for business referral and retention
• Working with Project Accountant and Controller to satisfy project financial restraints.
• Collaborating with Director of Field Operations to implement labor and install strategies.
• Reviewing shop drawings and ensure accuracy before submittal and reviewing returned submittals.
• Ensuring that project documents are compliant with GC’s standards or processes.
• Ensuring project closeout tasks and documentation is completed before substantial completion.

THE REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years as a Mechanical Project Manager working on similar projects.
• Experience working on ICI projects.
• BA in Mechanical Engineering an asset
• Proficient using construction software such as MS Project, Bluebeam and Procore.

COMPENSATION

• $90,000 - $130,000 DOE
• 3-4 weeks vacation
• Bonuses
