Schedule for forklift driver: afternoons - from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. (40 hours)

Position summary:


The forklift driver is responsible for receiving goods as well as preparing orders. The incumbent is also responsible for positioning pallets in the warehouse and ensuring the rotation of merchandise.

Responsibilities and tasks:

  • Check the arrival of trailers at the shipping docks;
  • Receive bills of lading or delivery slips from the inventory clerk;
  • Validate the number of pallets and the customer's name on the bills of lading;
  • Rotate pallets, if necessary;
  • Complete a control sheet and give it to the inventory clerk;
  • Ensure that each pallet is easily identifiable;
  • Enter receipt of goods into the computer system;
  • Receive loading manifests from the inventory clerk;
  • Pick merchandise for orders according to their priority;
  • Pick pallets from the warehouse and place them in the appropriate locations;
  • Reconcile the number of pallets picked with the order form and sign it;
  • Ensure that we respect the various customer requests;
  • Load trucks according to the determined procedure;
  • Perform a forklift check and complete an inspection grid at the start of the shift;
  • Perform any other related tasks as needed.

Requested skills

Requirements:
  • Experience with standing forklift;
  • Valid forklift operator license;
  • 3-5 years experience in forklift driving;
  • Computer knowledge;
  • Proficiency in French and English (oral and written);
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
