As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling of materials and products within the company's warehouse or facility. You will use lifting equipment such as forklifts to move, load, unload and store goods in a variety of work environments.

Main responsibilities:

  1. Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods from trucks, containers or other vehicles following safety procedures and ensuring proper product handling.
  2. Warehousing: Place materials and products in designated warehouse locations taking into account specific storage requirements and ensuring optimal space organization.
  3. Inventory Control: Perform cycle counts, participate in physical inventories and maintain accurate records of inventory movements to ensure accuracy of inventory levels.
  4. Compliance with safety standards: Respect and promote safety procedures in force, particularly regarding the use of handling equipment, handling of loads and circulation in the warehouse.
  5. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks on forklifts and other material handling equipment, report faults or problems and make small repairs as necessary.
  6. Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with logistics, shipping and receiving teams to ensure effective coordination of material handling operations.

Required Skills :

  • Knowledge of material handling safety standards, a strong asset.
  • Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, pick lists and product labels.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy loads safely and properly.
