CUPE 2331 Permanent Lunch Time Office Support Worker

Schedule E - $24.08

10 Months

Start Date: Immediately

Hours Per Week: 7.5

Location: St. Catherine of Siena, Woodbridge

Position Summary:

Under the direction and supervision of the School Principal, the Lunch Time Office Support Worker will assist with general office relief over an extended lunch hour, while promoting a safe and caring school environment.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Greet people coming into the school.
  • Answer telephone calls, take messages, and provide general information.
  • Respond to any Public Address (PA) system calls.
  • Provide assistance to students for minor injuries when required.
  • Prepare and maintain a log related to students’ injuries/accidents.
  • Be aware and familiarized with school's emergency response protocols, including lockdown procedures, evacuation routes, and communication channels

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Less than high school graduation plus additional training or education.

Experience:

  • A minimum of three months of experience is required.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to respect the confidentiality requirements of the school.
  • Ability to perform multiple activities.
  • Experience working with children.
  • Customer service-oriented with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Cognizant of safety and the well-being of the children.
The above position is posted in accordance with CUPE 2331 Collective Agreement Article 12.01. The salary will be as per placement on the Salary Grid of the current CUPE 2331 Collective Agreement.
