Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Overview

Under the general supervision of the Manager/Charge Cardiology Technologist, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of NICT program in Selkirk Hospital. The Senior Cardiology Technologist is responsible for performing all function as a General Duty Cardiology Technologist, teaching Cardiology Technicians, supervising the other cardiology technologists under management’s direction.

Experience
  • Minimum 2 years as a General Duty Cardiology Technologist, in a large department preferred.
  • Supervisory experience an asset.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Completion of a formal management training program or health care administration course is an asset.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
  • Must be a member in good standing with Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologist (CSCT).
  • Current BCLS within the past 12 months of BCLS Instructor Certificate.
  • Province of Manitoba Class 5 driver’s license, or equivalent from province of residence.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft program (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint), as well as Internet applications and other Information Technology required.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Workplace Health and Safety Program or training preferred.
  • Ability to facilitate change in a positive and productive manner.
  • Apply technical knowledge to interpretation of results, troubleshooting, and assessing of methods.
  • Ability to effectively work under pressure.
  • Maintains confidentiality with all information entrusted to the positions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work and exercise initiative.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
