The Opportunity

The ideal candidate will lead sales/business development for Project and Preventative Maintenance Programs. Ability to build long-term client relationships, find, develop, and grow revenue in cooperation with the Wajax Sales team. The role will be responsible for expanding business opportunities within the Oil Sands region. Proactively source new projects and preventative maintenance opportunities by presenting innovative solutions and selling a ‘Wajax First’ philosophy. The Role

  • Leverage your industry knowledge and contacts to develop and grow relationships with new and existing clients to expand Wajax market position in the Oil Sands region.
  • Find, develop and close projects, turnarounds and field services of all sizes.
  • Source new clients, conduct cold calls, follow up on leads and referrals to present product solutions and increase sales in assigned territory.
  • Must be able to work and develop business with EPC’s.
  • Must be able to communicate, integrate and work contacts from the site to the boardroom.
  • Identify and build relationships with decision makers within existing and new accounts, creating an on-going relationship strategy, cultivating partnering relationships, and establishing Wajax as a trusted partner.
  • Review and provide input on target client opportunities while ensuring alignment with overall account objectives.
  • Coordinate with Wajax sales team and product experts to identify and capitalize on expansion and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Follow up, track and close project and preventative maintenance opportunities; work independently to undertake activities to secure the opportunity and win proposals by gathering of competitor information, analysis of competitor product and service offerings, applications, and pricing to overcome client objections.
  • Understand the RFP process and develop proposals and quotes based upon client needs, specifications, and product offerings.
  • Research, follow and interpret current market trends to direct the business development strategy.
  • Align internal stakeholders by communicating and involving operational and executive level Wajax leaders toward successful client meetings, win strategies and capture plan execution.
  • Coordinate client interactions, communications, prequalification, proposals and presentations.
  • Identify and communicate competitor and market intelligence.
  • Ensure adoption and compliance of CRM tool (Salesforce)

The Candidate

  • Work Experience: Proven track record in project or preventative maintenance development sales and attaining/exceeding account management and sales goals.
  • Knowledge: Demonstrated experience and knowledge of industrial products supporting project engineering and the development and execution of preventive maintenance programs.
  • Proficiency: Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.
