The Opportunity

Responsible for providing support to Project Engineers/leaders by entering orders received from customers, Sales and others, sourcing and providing accurate BOM (Bill of Material) for various assemblies, build ITP (Inspection & Test plan), and ensuring that required materials for production jobs are stocked; purchasing necessary goods in an accurate and timely manner where inventory is required. Ensure a close follow-up of the parts ordered.

The Role

  • Promote a culture of safety including strict adherence to Wajax EHS policies and procedures
  • Monitor job statuses and initiate workflows for production orders being handled by the engineering department conducting follow up to ensure adherence to established timelines and schedules.
  • Enter production demands and orders for customers, verifying pricing and delivery with suppliers and vendors and ensuring parts are delivered on time.
  • Coordinate and oversee all entry aspects concerning the BOM, including purchase order entry, stock requirements, subcontracting requirements, internal labour and all other relevant and required information.
  • Ensure that ITP (Inspection and Test Plan) activities are performed according to plan and that the information required are entered in the document.
  • Coordinate the completion ITP activities with the shop personnel.
  • Follow up with vendors on open orders to determine parts delivery status.
  • Create new item codes in the system.
  • Purchase required materials for production jobs.
  • Conduct costing and analysis activities for various projects to support Project Engineers/Leaders in reviewing feasibility, establishing and revising project costs and sourcing various assemblies.
  • Follow up with customers and branches as required.
  • Perform various quality control activities including the development and implementation of quality control guidelines and traceability.

The Candidate

  • Education: College Diploma or Technical degree realted to Hydraulics is an asset
  • Work Experience: 5-7 years experience in a related field and/or similar role.
  • Knowledge: experience with ERP; basic knowledge of hydraulic products & equipment; competent with Microsoft Office suite
  • Bilingual French & English (Spoken and written).

  • High attention to detail combined with excellent organizational skills.
