The Opportunity
Provide leadership to his/her team of inside sales representatives by ensuring the pre-established sales goals and targets are attained.
The Role
- Manage the performance of the team, providing coaching, training and development
- Process daily inquiries for sales quotations, quote customers on products using the Pricing Matrixes and then enter quotes in quote log.
- Enter and expedite customer sales orders when necessary.
- Research products for the outside sales department and make suggestions for purchase.
- Attend monthly sales meeting with outside sales.
- Analyze sales results for the inside sales team.
- Negotiate pricing or adjust price if required to remain competitive.
- Provide technical support when required to inside, outside sales teams and customer.
- Resolve escalated customer/supplier issues and computer problems.
- Purchase products for customer from suppliers.
- Search the inventory levels at various suppliers in the United States using an internet-based application if the customer requires an emergency product order.
- Assist with internal audits of the department as required.
- Assess quotes provided and the margins of the products in the quotes with employees, providing suggestions for improvement or an increase in margin.
- Prepare sales training for employees (lunch and learn, etc.).
- Ensure that Wajax ISO Standards for the region are updated and maintained on an annual basis.
The Candidate
Education: Post-secondary education from a technical college, trade school or university
Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years related experience in a sales support role in an industrial field with 3 years in a supervisory capacity
Knowledge: knowledge of industrial components
