The Opportunity
We are looking for a hands on, mechanically inclined person to join our team. In this role, you will help tear down, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild electric motors, generators, and other rotating equipment. This is a good fit for someone who likes working with their hands, learning new skills, and being part of a shop environment. You do not need to know everything on day one. If you are reliable, willing to learn, and mechanically minded, we want to hear from you.
The Role

In this position, you will work alongside experienced team members and assist with the repair and overhaul of rotating equipment in a shop setting.
Shop Duties
- Tear down and help reassemble motors, generators, and other rotating equipment
- Remove and install bearings
- Clean, organize, and store parts for reassembly
- Identify parts needed for proper assembly
- Withdraw materials for jobs
- Grit blast and paint equipment
- Complete service paperwork, job documentation, and required Quality Assurance (QA) documentation
Testing and Inspection
- Assist with electrical testing and inspections
- Record test results and job details
- Help with final run testing and vibration checks
Mechanical Support
- Assist with rigging and handling equipment during shop repairs and overhauls
- Support safe movement of parts and equipment throughout the shop
Safety and Housekeeping
- Follow shop safety procedures and report incidents
- Keep personal tools and shop tools in safe working condition
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Help with general housekeeping in the plant
Quality and Procedures
- Follow shop procedures, quality requirements, and supervisor direction
- Inspect work before moving on to the next step
- Prepare completed equipment for shipping
- Complete timesheets and required paperwork on time
The Candidate

What We’re Looking For
- 1 to 3 years of related mechanical, industrial, or shop experience preferred
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to use hand tools and work safely in a shop environment
- Experience with rigging and lifting devices
- Strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to be part of a team
- Flexibility and willingness to work overtime when required
- Overtime is often available, so we are looking for people who are flexible and ready to jump in when rush jobs come through
